Tomorrow, Saturday, October 5th, Westfield will participate in a county-wide initiative to reduce gun violence and enhance community safety.
The program offers residents an opportunity to surrender and safely dispose of any unwanted firearms, regardless of condition, with no questions asked. All surrendered firearms will be disposed of in accordance with state and federal laws.
The gun surrender event will take place 9am - 4pm at Holy Trinity Church located at 512 Westfield Avenue. The entrance will be on the left side of the building off Westfield Avenue.
Please be sure to bring your gun to the event unloaded and, in a bag, or box. We would like to avoid people on the streets carrying visible guns.
