Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s Drive Up and Go Food Distribution event:
 
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Wednesday, October 16, 2024
 
- 7th Avenue between N. 13th Street and N. 9th Street/Bathgate Place
- N. 11th Street between 6th Avenue W. and 7th Avenue
- N. 12th Street between 6th Avenue W. and 7th Avenue
 
The food drive begins at 10 a.m. and will be held at 7th Avenue and N. 11th Street.
 
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
 
Director Fragé thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding any criminal activity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
