Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile on drug charges.
On October 8, at approximately 10:24 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 1600 block of West 2nd Street when they observed a male subject acting in a suspicious manner. Officers attempted to make contact with the male subject, who fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took a 15-year-old male juvenile into custody without further incident. Police recovered 15 grams of crack cocaine, and 9mm ammunition.
The 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in New Castle County Family Court and was committed to the New Castle County Juvenile Detention Center on $31,000 cash-only bail.
