Attempting to identify theft suspect that occurred in rural Lake Norden this morning. 
The Hamlin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft that was reported to the agency at 8:31a.m. on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at Alsville Crossing Gas Station in rural Hamlin County, about four miles east of Lake Norden.
The sheriff's office is attempting to identify these individuals who stole over $200 in alcohol, about $24 in gasoline, and other goods from the store on Thursday morning at around 8:20a.m.
The parties involved were last seen entering a silver SUV that quickly speeded away from the gas station, running a stop sign, and continuing north on US Highway 81. The vehicle was then reported to have turned right and continued east on SD Highway 28 from US Highway 81 toward the Lake Poinsett/Estelline area at around 8:30a.m.
