A third arrest has been made in the murder investigation of Tiray Evans. Tiray Evans was shot and killed in the evening hours of September 17, 2024 at 527 Jason Ave. Teagann Ixavier Zabrantae Shaw, age 25, was arrested today and booked into the Potter County Jail for Murder.
***UPDATE SEPTEMBER 27, 2024***
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Tiray Evans.
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, James Childs, 27, was taken into custody and charged with murder. He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
On Friday, September 27, 2024, Markeen Tiiedrick Rayshon Walker, 31, was arrested in the area of 38th and S. Jackson St. Walker had an outstanding murder warrant and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.
APD Homicide would like to thank the Potter County SWAT team, US Marshals office, Department of Public Safety CID Investigators, APD Pace, and the APD Crime Analysts for their assistance during this investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

DETAILS: On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at approximately 11:30pm, Amarillo Police Officers were called to the 500 block of Jason Avenue on a person being shot. When officers arrived, they found Tiray James Evans, age 26, was shot by someone who left the scene in a vehicle. Tiray died at the scene. Tiray’s family has been notified.
