Full Notification

On October 10^th, at 8:34 PM, Simi Valley Police Officers were dispatched to Simi Valley Chevrolet, which is located at 1001 E. Cochran St., in reference to a 911 call about a man with a gun. The reporting party advised dispatch that they had observed a drunk customer shifting a firearm from one pocket to another. Upon arrival, Officers detained a 43 year old male subject, from Thousand Oaks who matched the suspect description. Officers ultimately located and recovered a concealed loaded firearm from the subject’s pants pocket. The subject, who had been consuming alcohol, had arrived at the business via tow truck after losing his vehicle keys. He was ultimately arrested for carrying a concealed firearm on his person and carrying a loaded firearm in public. He was booked at Ventura County Jail without incident.
