RED FLAG WARNING FOR MIDLAND COUNTY FROM 8 AM UNTIL 8 PM.  NO OPEN BURNING OR BURN PERMITS ALLOWED.  EXERCISE CAUTION W/OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT COULD LEAD TO LARGE FIRES.  

 A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected.  A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.  There are no burn permits being permitted during a red flag warning.  Additionally, use caution with activities that could lead to large fires like campfires, using lawn mowers and other machinery in or near dry vegetation and throwing matches or cigarettes out of a vehicle.
