Residential Burglary Advisory

On October 10, 2024, at approximately 5:09 am, members of the Deal Police Department were dispatched to a Norwood Avenue residence in response to a reported residential burgarly and motor vehicle theft.  An on-scene investigation revealed that the actor (s) forcibly opened a first floor window and entered the residence.  After entering the residence, the actor (s) subsequently stole a high-end vehicle which had been parked in the driveway.

On October 11, 2024, at approximately 4:02 am, Patrolman Zach Bell was conducting routine patrol duties within the Borough of Interlaken when he observed a suspicious vehicle traveling on Buttermere Avenue.  The vehicle displayed a fictitious license plate and appeared to be "shopping" for high-end vehicles.  Patrolman Bell subsequently attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop, however, the vehicle fled at a high-rate of speed into a neighboring jurisdiction.  There were no reported burglaries or thefts in the area.

Similar incidents have been reported by law enforcement agencies throughout Monmouth County.

The Deal Police Department is actively investigating both incidents.  If any member of the public has surveillance footage from the time period related to either of these incidents, please contact the Detective Bureau.  You can reach Det. Mirrione or Det. Dowling at 732-531-1113 ext. 138 or ext. 136, or via email at [email protected] or [email protected] for further assistance.

Instructions:
