UPDATE: Market St. Transportation Improvements – Streetscape Project 
Beginning Monday, October14th at approximately 8:00 am the contractor will be installing a new water main valve at Chestnut Street Extension and Market Street. Work should be completed by 1:00 pm. This work is expected to interrupt water along portions of Market Street between #22 Market Street and SFCU. Depending on the successful ability to isolate the work area it could also affect some businesses on Water Street.
Once water is restored, water users may experience a brief change in water color and/or pressure. This is a common, temporary occurrence and is not a cause for alarm.
It is recommended to avoid this area if all possible. Temporary barricades and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic safely through the work zones. Please exercise extreme caution and obey all signs and flaggers.
The City will issue periodic project updates or changes via Nixle PSA as needed.
