Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 10/13/2024 at approximately 1824 hours, his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash at the intersection of Marcellus HWY and Glenwood Rd., Dowagiac, Wayne Township, Cass County, Michigan.

Investigation shows that a 22-year-old, South Bend, IN resident, Peter Mckenna was traveling Southbound on Glenwood Rd., when he proceeded to run the stop sign at Glenwood Rd., and Marcellus HWY.  A second vehicle driven by 29-year-old, Eau Claire resident, Hector Manzano-Canales was driving Westbound on Marcellus HWY when he struck Peter Mckenna's vehicle. Hector Manzano-Canales was transported to Lakeland St. Joseph Hospital by ambulance for his injuries sustained in the crash. 

Seatbelts were worn by both subjects. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
