The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM CDT /noon MDT/ to 7 PM CDT /6 PM MDT/ Wednesday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...In South Dakota, McPherson, Brown, Marshall, Roberts, Edmunds, Day, Potter, Faulk, Spink, Clark, Codington, Grant, Hamlin, Deuel, Stanley, Sully, Hughes, Hyde, Hand, Jones, Lyman and Buffalo.
* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 21 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
