Deputies Investigating Fatal Early Morning Collision at Foothill and Haven

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Foothill Boulevard / Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
INVOLVED PARTY: Brandon Bahner, 33-year-old male from Rancho Cucamonga.
INVOLVED PARTY: Cameron Morrison, 23-year-old male from Rancho Cucamonga.
SUMMARY: On October 16, 2024, at about 12:49 a.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving two vehicles on Foothill Boulevard, near the intersection of Haven Avenue.
A Toyota Avalon driven by Brandon Bahner traveled west, in the eastbound lanes of Foothill Boulevard. A Tesla driven by Cameron Morrison traveled east, in the number three lane of Foothill Boulevard. As Morrison approached the intersection, his vehicle collided head-on into Bahner’s vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts by Rancho Cucamonga Fire District, Bahner was pronounced deceased at the scene. Morrison sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by American Medical Response (AMR).
Deputies A. Smith and B. Ogas from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
