...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR FAR EASTERN KANSAS, WESTERN MISSOURI, NORTHWESTERN MISSOURI, AND NORTHERN MISSOURI..


* TIMING...From 11 AM this morning to 7 PM CDT this evening.

* WIND...South winds 20-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* HUMIDITY...20 to 30 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Instructions:

NO OUTDOOR BURNING TODAY. Please avoid parking vehicles in grass or other vegetation. Use caution that smoking materials are extinguished before discarding. Use extreme caution with any activity that may produce sparks.
