Detective Matt Smith with McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged 53-year-old Eric Wayne Lee of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. He was given a secured bond of $7,500.
On September 6, Detective Smith and an agent with the NC ALE initiated a traffic stop on a mini-van at the intersection of Sugar Hill and Goose Creek roads. Upon search of Lee and the vehicle, drug paraphernalia and a suspected amount of meth were located.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
