On Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:17 a.m., the City of Culver City will join the State of California, the County and City of Los Angeles, and many other stakeholders in participating in the world’s largest earthquake drill, the Great Shakeout!

Please join us in the Shakeout Drill in the following way:
· At 10:17 a.m., Stop what you are doing and react as if an earthquake has occurred.
· You should Drop to the ground, take Cover under something sturdy (a desk or table), and Hold On until the shaking has stopped. (For this drill, take cover and hold on for 60 seconds.)

The Shakeout is our yearly opportunity to practice how to protect ourselves during an earthquake. Please also take this opportunity to review your personal family disaster plans and supplies.
