Hello All,

Early this morning at 2:36 AM, the Danville Police Department received a report concerning the presence of a suspicious individual in the backyard of a residence on the 600 block of Park Hill Road, near Morninghome Road.

The individual was described as a Middle Eastern male, wearing a blue hoodie and blue pants. Witnesses reported that he appeared disoriented and was running as if fleeing from someone. Notably, the man was seen with what appeared to be a handgun and repeatedly urged the witness to contact the police.

In response, Danville officers, along with Sheriff’s Deputies and a K9 unit from an allied agency, conducted an extensive search of the area. The search included the deployment of a small Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) equipped with thermal imaging to cover a broad area effectively. Despite these efforts, including door-to-door inquiries and notifications, the individual was not located.

- Increased Police Presence: The Danville Police Department will maintain a heightened presence in the area to ensure public safety.
