INCIDENT: Fatal Crash
LOCATION: Topaz Road/ Luna Road, Victorville
INVOLVED PARTY(S): Matthew Lozano, 19-year-old Male Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at about 7:55 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station, along with Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel, responded to the area of Topaz Road, south of Luna Road, in the city of Victorville for a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, it was determined the driver, Matthew Lozano, traveled south on Topaz Road and crashed into the west curbline of the roadway. Lozano sustained major injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Topaz Road was closed between La Mesa Road and Luna Road for several hours while deputies conducted the scene investigation.
