Update to Deputy Response on Royal Oaks Area 
Dear Duarte residents,
At approximately 6 PM this evening, deputies responded to a call regarding an armed adult male at the Royal Oaks area near Royal Oaks Academy.
Upon deputy arrival, the adult male was identified with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. LA County Fire responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
