Three Suspects Arrested after Robbing a Local Grocery Store

DATE/TIME: October 18, 2024 / 8:05 P.M.

INCIDENT: PC211-Robbery
                   PC182(A)(1)- Conspiracy to Commit a crime

LOCATION: 12000 block of Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S): Samuel Avalos Lopez, Age 35, Resident of Rialto
                        Samuel Edward Price, Age 56, Resident of San Bernardino
                        Pearl Rodriguez, Age 39, Resident of Rancho Cucamonga

VICTIM(S): Food 4 Less


SUMMARY: On Friday, October 18, 2024, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Rancho Cucamonga deputies responded to a call for service reference a robbery. The reporting party called in advising dispatch that two unknown subjects exited the rear of the business with a basket full of merchandise without paying. 

Deputies arrived on scene and the suspects were gone. Deputies contacted the reporting party and were informed the suspects threatened the reporting party with a knife before fleeing the location. Deputies were provided a description of the suspects and the vehicle they left the location in. An extensive area check was conducted, and the vehicle was found a short distance from the location. 

The suspects were later identified as 56-year-old Samuel Edward Price, a resident of San Bernardino, 35-year-old Samuel Avalos Lopez, a resident of Rialto, and 39-year-old Pearl Rodriguez, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga. Deputies recovered the merchandise and returned it to the owner. The weapon used to commit the crime was recovered and booked into evidence. 

Price, Lopez, and Rodriguez were arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC 211-Robbery and PC 182(A)(1)- Conspiracy to Commit a crime.
