Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured female suspect in connection with a theft that occurred on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
At approximately, 2:45 p.m., the suspect approached a parked vehicle at Vailsburg Terrace in Newark near Stockman Place in Irvington and removed a temporary license plate from the vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot, headed westbound. She is described as approximately 5’5” tall and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds, and was wearing a short afro, black sweat pants, a black top, with a white shirt underneath, and black sneakers.
