LOCATION: Devon St / Layton St, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Jason Michael Day, Age 39, Resident of Upland
Monica Marie Childs, Age 35, Resident of Upland
SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 20, 2024, at approximately 3:32 a.m., deputies conducting proactive patrol in the city of Rancho Cucamonga located a vehicle with expired registration, dating back to 2023, parked on a public street. When deputies made contact, the vehicle was occupied by two subjects.
Through investigation, deputies located suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia concealed by the subjects. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located several burglary tools and handheld two-way radios inside the vehicle. The subjects were identified as 39-year-old Jason Michael Day and 35-year-old Monica Marie Childs, both residents of Upland. Day was found to have an active arrest warrant.
Day and Childs were both arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for H&S 11350(A)- Possession of Narcotics/Controlled Substance, H&S 11377(A)- Possession of a Controlled Substance, and PC 466- Possession of Burglary Tools.
