Patrol Team 1 Cracks Down on East Tabor Avenue Traffic Violations
In a targeted effort to enhance road safety and reduce traffic collisions, Patrol Team 1 conducted a concentrated enforcement detail on East Tabor Avenue this morning. Over the course of an hour and a half, officers issued 21 citations and made 30 traffic stops, highlighting the importance of responsible driving in our community.
Common violations included speeding, disregarding school bus stop laws, and failing to obey stop signs. In addition to these citations, three vehicles were towed due to various traffic offenses. Two individuals were also arrested on outstanding felony warrants and drug-related charges, demonstrating the team's commitment to addressing both traffic and criminal activity.
"The safety of our residents is our top priority," said Sergeant Frank Piro. "By conducting these enforcement details, we aim to deter dangerous driving behaviors and hold individuals accountable for their actions. We encourage all drivers to follow the rules of the road and prioritize safety on our streets."
The Fairfield Police Department will continue to conduct targeted enforcement efforts in various areas of the city to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
