Reminder: Hoboken Job Fair is TOMORROW
Residents are reminded that the City of Hoboken and the Office of Constituent Services will host a job fair at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St., tomorrow, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Job seekers of all experience levels are invited to attend and connect with potential employers, learn about current and future job openings, and in many cases, apply on the spot for open positions. Over 40 employers and agencies from both the public and private sectors, representing a variety of industries, will be in attendance.
Attendees should bring an updated resume, and dress to impress. Registration is encouraged, but not necessary as walk-ins are also welcome. For more information on the job fair, and to register, click here.
The City is hosting the job fair, in partnership with the Hudson County Schools of Technology Community Resource Center, the Hoboken Business Alliance, and the Hoboken Public Library.
Drop off unneeded medications on Saturday
On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Hoboken Police Department will participate in the National Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Take Back Day.
Residents are encouraged to drop off old, expired, unneeded, and unwanted tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs in the lobby area of the following locations:
- Hoboken Police Headquarters, 106 Hudson St.
- Fox Hill Gardens, 311 13th St.
- Adams Gardens, 220 Adams St.
- Monroe Gardens, 221 Jackson St.
National Prescription Take Back Day is meant to provide an anonymous and safe opportunity to rid your home of potentially dangerous substances. No questions will be asked.
E-cigarette and vaping devices will also be collected, but only if the batteries have been removed. If the battery cannot be removed, consumers can check with large electronic chain stores who may accept the device for proper disposal.

Learn about NHSA projects in Hoboken
Hoboken residents are invited to attend a North Hudson Sewerage Authority (NHSA) public information meeting on Oct. 30, 2024, to learn more about ongoing and upcoming projects in Hoboken.
The agenda includes a presentation on the CSO Long Term Control Plan and a tour of the NHSA Treatment Plant. NHSA representatives will be discussing upcoming projects aimed at expanding treatment plant capacity and constructing detention facilities to better manage stormwater. The meeting will also provide updates on ongoing projects in Hoboken. NHSA engineers will be present to provide information and address any questions or concerns.

Division of Recreation opens winter youth registration on Nov. 1
The Hoboken Division of Recreation will open registration for its winter youth programs on Friday, Nov. 1, at 12 p.m. Registration is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close on Friday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m. Residents are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spots
This season’s programs include instructional basketball for children ages 6-8, competitive basketball programs for 3rd to 8th graders, and wrestling for participants ages 6 to 14.
Fees are $50 for residents and $80 for non-residents. Participants eligible for free or reduced lunch may register at no cost.
Schedules will be announced following the close of registration.
