INCIDENT: Residential Burglary
LOCATION: 6800 block of Eucalyptus Avenue, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Bobby Ray Carrllo, Jr., 32-year-old Male, Transient
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 72-year-old Female
SUMMARY: On Monday, October 22, 2024, at approximately 1:56 a.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station responded to the 6800 block of Eucalyptus Avenue, in the city of Twentynine Palms, following the report of a male adult inside of the victim's residence. When deputies arrived they determined the suspect, Bobby Ray Carrllo Jr., had entered the victim's residence through an unlocked garage door. The victim was sleeping in her bed and woke up to find Carrllo laying next to her. Carrllo refused to leave and stated he was going to sleep. The victim contacted family members who arrived and confronted Carrllo. Carrllo fled and later attempted to enter another residence, where he was confronted by the homeowner and left.
Upon reviewing security video from the residence and a picture taken by a witness, deputies were able to positively identify Carrllo as the suspect. An arrest warrant was authored for Carrllo for burglary. Deputies and detectives canvassed the area and located Carrllo near Mariposa Avenue and Twentynine Palms Highway. Carrllo was arrested and taken into custody.
