Stage 3 Fire Restrictions Remain In Effect

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 - Special Weather Statement for ALL NJ counties. There is an increased risk of fire spread this afternoon. Relative humidity values are expected to fall to around 30 to 40 percent across much of the area. This will be combined with south to southwest winds near 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, and abundant sunshine. These conditions will support the spread of any fires that ignite, which could quickly become difficult to control. FIRE DANGER IS VERY HIGH! Stage 3 fire restrictions remain in effect. All fires in wooded areas will be prohibited unless contained in an elevated stove using only propane, natural gas, gas, or electricity. No charcoal fires are allowed.
