The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 6 PM EDT Thursday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Middlesex, Western Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic, Cape May and Southeastern Burlington.
* TIMING...From 11 AM to 6 PM EDT Thursday.
* WINDS...North northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 30 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Into the mid to upper 60s.
* IMPACTS...The combination of very dry conditions, low relative humidity, and gusty winds will result in favorable conditions for the rapid spread of fires. Any fires that develop may become difficult to contain, especially cross the Pine Barrens region.
