Boil Order Notice- North Willow Springs
Boil Order Notice- North Willow Springs
This morning at 7:05 a.m. the Water Commission was notified by a contractor working under the I294 Mile Long Bridge that our 20” water main was damaged by an excavator who was removing old pylons for the bridge. The Commission immediately went into action by opening an emergency water interconnect from the Village of Burr Ridge and isolating the damaged water main. In the process, the Commission realized that many residents who are on the North side of Willow Springs had significant pressure loss. Due to this loss of pressure and AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE ONLY the Justice-Willow Springs Water Commission has issued a precautionary boil order for all water consumers NORTH of the canal. If you are on the south side of town (Archer Side) or anyone in Justice limits this boil order does not include you.
Water samples have been taken and have already been delivered to the certified lab for analysis. We expect to hear results in approximately 24 hours.
Once again, this is as a precaution only and only consumable water is to be boiled. The water used for washing hands, laundry, etc does not have to be boiled.
If you have any additional questions please contact the Water Commission at 708-458-7010
