Suspect Arrested for Elder Abuse after Deputies Respond to a Disturbance Call in Needles
DATE/TIME: October 23, 2024, at approximately 1:44 p.m.
INCIDENT: P.C. 368(B)(1) - Elder Abuse Causing Injury
LOCATION: 5400 block of National Trails Hwy, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Maclaren Menzie, 39-Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at approximately 1:44 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a call for service reference a disturbance. During the investigation, the suspect, Maclaren Menzie, was found to be in violation of P.C. 368(B)(1) - Elder Abuse Causing Injury, after it was discovered he physically assaulted the victim. The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
Menzie was consequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Menzie remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
