Beginning Monday, October 28^th, at approximately 7:00 am, the City’s contractor Upstate Companies will be closing the intersection of Market Street and South Main Street in order to perform milling and street subbase preparation.  Milling work will start at the former Rowes Auto and continue to the exit of SFCU.  This work is estimated to be between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm and is expected to last through Thursday, October 31^st.  During this closure, access to and from the businesses along South Main Street will only be via Main Street.  Also, traffic on Market Street will be limited to periodic one lane in this area.  Some sidewalks will also be closed and there will be no street parking in the immediate work areas.
 
Please avoid this area if at all possible.  Portable traffic control devices will be placed at each side of the work areas in addition to other temporary signage and barricades. Please exercise extreme caution and obey all traffic control devices.

The City will issue periodic project updates or changes via Nixle PSA as needed.
