CAD CALLS:971
1. Weapons Arrest (1357) 8800 Block of Don Avenue, Bear Creek District
An officer contacted the suspect near the listed area, who was found to have a loaded firearm. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Benito Delarosa, 40, for weapons charges and an outstanding warrant.
2. Traffic Fatality (1828) Pacific Avenue and Yokuts Avenue, Lakeview District
The female victim, 23, was walking near the listed area when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the area but was located and arrested without incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Traffic officers responded for the investigation. ARRESTED:
Jamaraqui Burks, 27, for vehicular manslaughter, hit and run, and reckless driving.
3. Resisting Arrest (2220) 00 Block of West Harding Way, Civic District
Officers responded to a report of a suspect fighting with store employees. Upon arrival, they attempted to detain the suspect, who ran, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Israel Gueyger, 34, for battery and resisting arrest.
4. Attempted Robbery (2318) 9300 Block of Thornton Road, Bear Creek District
The male victim, 23, was working at a local business when the suspect entered and took merchandise. The victim closed the business door, and the suspect dropped the merchandise and tried to assault the victim. The suspect fled on foot without any property. SUSPECT: White male adult.
5. Person Stabbed (0255) Pacific Avenue and Alder Street, Civic District
The male victim, 39, was walking in the area when the suspect approached, stabbed him, and fled. The victim was transported to an area hospital for a non–life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Hispanic male.
6. Arson (0215) 500 Block of East Ninth Street, Seaport District
The female victim, 52, the male victim, 45, and two male juveniles were in their home when the known suspect threw a lit object at the house, causing it to catch fire, and then fled. The fire was put out, and no injuries were reported. SUSPECT: Hispanic male.
7. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0320) 5000 Block of Feather River Drive, Lakeview District
The male victim, 44, was in the area sitting in his car when the suspects fired gunshots at him. The victim’s vehicle was struck by gunfire, but the victim was uninjured. SUSPECTS: Black male and Hispanic female.
