INCIDENT: Vehicle vs Motorcycle Collision
LOCATION: Apple Valley Road & Catalina Road, Apple Valley
DRIVER 1: 54-year-old male of Apple Valley
VEHICLE 1: Toyota pickup
DRIVER 2: 21-year-old male of Apple Valley
VEHICLE 2: Suzuki motorcycle
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 8:46 am, deputies from Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station and rescue personnel from the Apple Valley Fire Department, along with American Medical Response (AMR), responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle traffic collision that occurred on Apple Valley Road at the intersection of Catalina Road, in the Town of Apple Valley.
Deputy S. Esparza investigated the traffic collision and determined the driver of the Toyota pickup turned in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to do so.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported by AMR to St Mary’s Hospital and then was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
