Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 10/25/2024 at approximately 1630 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash at the intersection of US-12 and Vera Dr., Porter Township, Cass County Michigan. 
 
Investigation shows that 53-year-old, White Pigeon resident; Kathy Lee was traveling Eastbound on US-12 when she proceeded to attempt an improper U-Turn. A second vehicle driven by 35-year-old Sturgis resident, Jonathon Lipko was driving Eastbound on US-12 behind Lee’s vehicle when he struck Lee’s vehicle while she was attempting an improper U-Turn. Lee was transported to South Bend Memorial for injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Seat belts were worn by both subjects. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
