Washington Street Road Closure Washington Street (In its entirety), is being repaved beginning on October 28th. No parking 27th, The work is expected to last approximately one week if weather cooperates. The Cape May Police Department will be posting "No Parking" signs along Washington Street all week. No Parking will begin on Sunday October 27th. No parking begins a day early, so we can work with residents to relocate vehicles to avoid towing. If you have a vehicle in a driveway on Washington Street, you should move your vehicle on Sunday. We recommend parking your vehicle off-site to guarantee access to your vehicle. You can park in the surrounding residential area at any legal spot, or you can utilize the field on Lafayette Street near the elementary school. Washington Street will be closed during this project and will not be reopened until the work is complete.
