Township OEM & Cranford FD advise of Red Flag Warning. Dry weather conditions, high winds create risk of local wildfires. 
Please see the following information provided by the Township's OEM and Cranford Fire Departrment regarding the dry weather conditions, high winds, and risk of wildfires (especially during outdoor, Halloween celebrations):
RED FLAG WARNING:
The combination of very dry conditions, low relative humidity, and gusty winds will result in favorable conditions for the rapid spread of fires. Any fires that develop may become difficult to contain. We strongly advise against the use of residential fire pits during this warning. Please use extreme caution when discarding smoking materials as well.
Instructions:
Use extreme caution with smoking materials, open flames, or hot machinery. Even very small outdoor fires will quickly spread today and can endanger buildings and vehicles.
