October 25, 2024:
- Officers were dispatched to 79 calls for service, conducted 14 traffic stops, and made 1 arrest.
- Officer Bean continued his investigation into two different vehicle thefts.
- Officer Tenney responded to the downtown bus station and contacted a subject previously reported missing. The 32-year-old female was in good health and returned home.
- Officers Johnson and Stallworth investigated an altercation at the Jackson High School football game.
- Officer Mills was dispatched to a property damage accident in the area of Merriman and Wall Streets. The 21-year-old male driver was arrested for OWI.
- Officer Tripp conducted parking enforcement on E. Mansion St.
- Officers were dispatched to 83 calls for service, conducted 25 traffic stops, and made 1 arrest.
- Officer Tenney made a traffic stop in the area of W. Washington Ave. and First St. He arrested the 53-year-old male driver on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Tenney responded to the 100 block of North St. for a personal welfare check. The 29-year-old male was transported to the hospital for mental health treatment.
- Officer Frazier was dispatched to the area of Cooper and South Streets for a hit and run accident involving minor injuries.
- Sergeant Grove and Reserve Officer Carpenter attended the Trunk or Treat event with the Welcome Home Organization.
- Officer Hogan and Cadet Robinson conducted foot patrol near Horace Blackman Park.
- While conducting foot patrol downtown, Officer Tripp made contact with two 22-year-old females. One subject refused his commands and was ultimately cited for Open Intoxicants and Resisting and Obstructing.
- Officer Soloman attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Jackson and Biddle Streets for traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated but terminated after a short time due to the reckless actions of the driver. The vehicle was determined to be stolen. A few hours later, Jackson PD was informed by Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety that the vehicle was located in Kalamazoo.
- While in the area of Douglas St., Officer Tripp located a vehicle which had been reported stolen earlier in the month.
- Officers were dispatched to 64 calls for service, conducted 16 traffic stops, and made 4 arrests.
- Officer Cantu responded to the area of Blackstone and Franklin Streets for a subject making threats. The 62-year-old male was arrested for several outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
- Officer Cantu was dispatched to the Commercial Exchange building on Tyson St. for a Breaking & Entering.
- Officer Frazier took a report for a vehicle stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Mansion St.
- Officer Jones was dispatched to the 300 block of Barberry for a domestic situation between a 26-year-old male and his 25-year-old girlfriend. The suspect had left the area at the time of the incident and was located later in the evening. He was arrested for the assault and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
- Officer Farnsworth was sent to the area of North and Myrtle Streets and contacted several subjects. A 56-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant from Alabama.
- Officer Jones was sent to the 200 block of Forbes for a suspicious situation. A 31-year-old female was arrested for violating her conditional bond.
- Officer Jones was sent to the 300 block of Barberry for a domestic situation between a mother and her daughter.
