Officers Locate and Arrest Car Burglar
SUBJECT: Car Burglar Arrested

LOCATION: Interlaken and Grassmere Avenues
ACCUSED: Mashon D. Wilson 34 year old male of Asbury Park, NJ
NARRATIVE: On October 26th at approximately 4:50 am officers were dispatched to a residence on Interlaken Avenue for a report of an attempted burglary to a vehicle. The victim reported that he observed a subject attempting to open his car door, but he was unable to do so because the vehicle was locked. When Officers arrived on scene, the accused had fled the area. Officers searched the area, but they were unable to locate the accused subject.
A few nights later, on October 28th at approximately 6:00 am officers were dispatched to multiple homes on Grassmere Avenue for several reports of attempted motor vehicle burglaries. One of the victims provided a detailed description of the accused subject who fled the area. Officers arrived on scene and located a subject matching the description given a few blocks away. The accused was taken into custody and it was confirmed that he was the person who attempted to burglarize the vehicles. The accused was transported to police headquarters for processing and he was identified as Mashon D. Wilson. Wilson was charged with several counts of Attempted Burglary and Obstruction of Justice. He was committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending an initial court appearance.
