| The Camarillo Police Department is proud to announce our next Coffee with a Cop event. Coffee with a Cop brings deputies and community members together, over coffee, to discuss issues and learn more about resources, services and needs of the community. This event will be held on Tuesday, 11/05/2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Starbucks, located at 2306 Las Posas Road in Camarillo. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office has benefitted from our relationships with the community and our partner agencies in the city and the county. We are proud to feature Ventura County Behavioral Health (VCBH) for this month’s Coffee with a Cop event. VCBH offers a wide variety of programs and services for people dealing with mental health or substance abuse issues. VCBH Director Loretta Denering will be present to answer questions and wants to hear from the community. The Camarillo Police Department works closely with VCBH in many aspects. A VCBH Rapid Integrated Support and Engagement (RISE) Case Manager is incorporated into our Project HOPE team. This team works with subjects experiencing homelessness and subjects dealing with mental health issues. The Project HOPE team will be present to discuss any concerns related to the vulnerable population in our city. The Camarillo Police Department would like to thank Starbucks for their continued partnership. By sitting down and having a simple conversation over coffee, deputies and community members can continue growing together. These events will continue at various local businesses into next year.
