Copper Wire Theft Leads to Felony Charge for Livingston
Detective Grant Robinson of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 55-year-old Jeffrey Scott Livingston of Marion with felony Breaking and/or Entering and felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering. Livingston was held without bond.
On October 15, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office notified Detective Robinson that Livingston had been caught in the act of breaking and entering a residence on Jacktown Road. Robinson had previously interviewed Livingston regarding an earlier break-in at the same residence, during which Livingston was suspected of stealing copper wiring from the home.
Further investigation revealed that additional copper wiring was removed during the October 15 incident, along with significant damage to the property.
