The National Weather Service is predicting a slight chance of severe storms today and tonight. The biggest threat is damaging winds. There is a very slight risk of a tornado or hail tonight for Cooper County. Rain totals for tonight is 0.5-1" but there could be heavier amounts in thunderstorms. The severe storms are expected in the area after midnight. More rain and storms predicted for Saturday night through Tuesday.
