LOCATION: 9700 Block of Locust Ave., Bloomington
SUSPECT(S): Luis David Garia, 37-year-old resident of Bloomington
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at approximately 3:00 a.m., deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station responded to a report of a rape that had just occurred. The subsequent investigation determined the suspect, Luis "David" Garcia and the victim met via an online dating application. The victim and Garcia met at Garcia's residence.
During the encounter, the victim was rendered unconscious and awoke to Garcia performing sexual acts upon the victim. The victim was eventually able to leave the location and called 911 for emergency medical assistance. Investigators authored a search warrant for the incident location and served the warrant on October 29, 2024. Garcia was detained and transported to the Fontana Sheriff's Station for further investigation. Garcia was later arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
Evidence recovered during the search warrant led investigators to believe there may be additional victims. Garcia’s booking photo is being released in order to help identify additional victims.
