Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to attempted burglary:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an attempted burglary.
On September 17, at approximately 2:38 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 100 block of West 35th Street in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police made contact with the victim who advised a male subject had attempted to forcibly gain access to their residence. Police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Charles Tarver. While on scene, police attempted to make contact with Tarver, who fled the area. Officers then obtained warrants for Tarver’s arrest.
On October 28, police located Tarver in the 800 block of North Market Street and took him into custody without incident.
Tarver has been charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Burglary (First Degree)
- Terroristic Threatening
- Resisting Arrest
- Harassment
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
