Attention Denville Residents,  the Denville Police Department, Denville Office of Emergency Management and Denville Volunteer Fire Department want to make you aware of the current RED FLAG Warning that is in effect. 

RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR CENTRAL AND NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...
AFFECTED AREA...Our area
TIMING...From noon today to 7 PM EDT this evening.
WINDS...West 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 27 percent.
TEMPERATURES...In the mid to upper 70s.
IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning are prohibited, including fire pits.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly due to a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels. Any fires that develop may quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain.
We are at a Stage 3 Restriction.
All fires in wooded areas will be prohibited unless contained in an elevated stove using only propane, natural gas, gas, or electricity.
No charcoal fires are allowed.
