Between 6:51pm on Friday 11/01/24 and 3:19am on Saturday 11/02/24, Gloucester Township Police Officers responded to five separate motor vehicle crashes involving drivers that were suspected to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or a controlled dangerous substance. The crashes occurred on State Highways and residential streets, causing damage to multiple vehicles, personal property and utility poles. In each case the driver was suspected of Driving While Intoxicated, taken into custody, processed and released pending court.

Crash #2 occurred on Millbridge Road when the driver failed to negotiate a slight curve, striking a parked vehicle, flipping the vehicle onto its roof. The driver who is a resident of Millbridge Apartments was not injured.

Crash #3 occurred on Cressmont Avenue when a resident was awakened by an unknown vehicle parked in the driveway and a male passed out on the lawn. The vehicle in the driveway was damaged on both sides, after it hit parked vehicles. The driver who is a resident of Chews Landing Road in Lindenwold was not injured.

Crash #4 occurred on the Black Horse Pike when the vehicle struck the curb, flipping and coming to rest on the roof, two properties away. The driver who is a resident of 9th. St. in Camden was not injured.

The Gloucester Township Police would like to urge motorists to Stay Alive and Don't Drink and Drive. We were fortunate there were no serious injuries in these cases, but they are a reminder to drink responsibly, use a Ride Share or call a friend when enjoying an evening out.
