SUSPECT(S): Agapie Vidrel, a 42-year-old transient
Nadia Stroe, a 47-year-old transient
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On March 20, 2024, an 80-year-old female sat in her car in the Larios Meat Market parking lot at 4008 Chino Hills Parkway in Chino Hills, after leaving a local bank. Two suspects, a male and a female, approached the elderly victim and distracted her. The female suspect opened the passenger door and grabbed the victim's purse. The victim struggled with the female suspect over control of the purse. The suspect eventually relinquished her control of the purse and fled. The victim found the money she had withdrawn from the bank was stolen from her purse.
Chino Hills detectives assumed the investigation and gathered investigative leads. After an extensive investigation, detectives identified the suspects as Agapie Vidrel and Nadia Stroe. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Vidrel and Stroe for robbery, elder abuse, and conspiracy.
On October 9, 2024, Vidrel was arrested in Orange County during an unrelated police investigation. On October 23, 2024, Stroe was arrested in Orange County during an unrelated police investigation.
