MONDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2024:
5:27 AM Officer Lara responded to a report of a vehicle theft in progress near Central Ave & Willow St.
10:24 AM Community Service Officer (CSO) Lau investigated a vehicle burglary reported near Hickory St & Seawind Way. The sunroof was discovered broken into with sunglasses reported taken.
10:52 AM CSO Lau investigated a burglary of a garage near Sycamore St & Graham Ave. Reported loss included a bicycle, shoes, and personal items.
7:27 PM Officer Cervantes responded to a domestic disturbance near Newark Blvd & Lafayette Ave. A 45-year-old male was arrested for battery and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2024:
12:49 AM Officer Soto investigated a vehicle burglary which progressed into a robbery on Newpark Mall Road. Entry to the vehicle was gained by forcing open the lock. Multiple tools were reported taken.
11:59 AM Officers responded to an attempted carjacking reported near Haley St & Jarvis Ave.
1:08 PM CSO Lau investigated a package theft near Lafayette Ave & Ruschin Dr.
2:51 PM Officer Soto responded to Newpark Mall Road for a vehicle burglary with the loss of tools.
3:37 PM Officer Diaz-Perez investigated a theft from a purse near Cedar Blvd & Mowry Ave.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2024:
11:07 AM Officer Berlanga investigated an attempted vehicle burglary near Lake Blvd & Channel Dr.
11:38 AM Officer Berlanga was on routine patrol and conducted a probation stop near Jarvis Ave & Dumbarton Ct. A 42-year-old male was arrested for possession of narcotics and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
12:11 PM Officer Lor investigated a license plate theft that occurred on Newpark Mall Road.
3:21 PM CSO Mora responded to Joaquin Murieta Ave & Cedar Blvd on the report of an attempted mailbox break-in. The mailbox lock was discovered damaged by use of an unknown tool.
3:24 PM CSO Lau investigated a license plate theft reported near Cedar Blvd & Thornton Ave.
4:26 PM CSO Lau investigated a cellphone theft near Jarvis Ave & Dumbarton Court.
7:51 PM CSO Mora recovered a stolen vehicle near Cedar Boulevard & Joaquin Murieta Ave.
9:02 PM Officer Soto responded to a vehicle burglary reported near Central Ave & Willow St. There was no reported loss.
10:41 PM Officer Dale initiated a traffic stop near Thornton Ave & Newark Blvd for an expired registration. A 47-year-old male was found in possession of false vehicle registration. He was arrested for possession of narcotics and was released on scene with a citation.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2024:
12:46 AM Officer Norvell responded to Sycamore St & Graham Ave concerning the theft of items from a garage. Reported loss included children’s toys.
2:24 AM Officer Soto responded to an attempted vehicle theft near Moores Ave & Birch St.
2:33 AM Officer Norvell responded to a disturbance reported near Cedar Blvd & Joaquin Murieta Ave. A 43-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication and was released on scene.
10:20 AM Officer Jackman investigated a robbery near Central Ave & Timber St. Reported loss included a watch.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2024:
12:45 AM Officer Dale investigated an attempted vehicle burglary reported near Haley St & Mirabeau Dr. The loss is currently unknown.
1:00 AM Officer Kim responded to a disturbance near Mowry Ave & Alpenrose Court. A 41-year-old male was arrested for outstanding warrants and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
1:06 AM Officer Shaffer arrested a 40-year-old male for outstanding warrants and possession of narcotics near Central Blvd & Filbert St. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
1:25 AM Officers responded to the report of a commercial burglary via a security alarm call near Newark & Cedar Blvds. Entry was gained from a shattered window.
2:22 AM Officer Cervantes investigated a vehicle theft reported near Darvon St & Blackwood Dr.
4:37 AM Officer Cervantes responded to a mailbox burglary near Parada St & Stevenson Blvd.
4:47 AM Officers were dispatched to multiple commercial break-ins reported near Cedar Blvd & Thornton Ave. Entry was determined from shattered windows.
11:33 AM Officer C. Torres was dispatched to a burglary of a garage near Sycamore St & Graham Ave. The door was determined to be forced open from prying, and reported loss included power tools.
12:47 AM Officer Jackman responded to a commercial retail burglary reported on Newpark Mall Road.
8:26 PM CSO Vuong investigated a vehicle theft on Newpark Mall Road. A neighboring agency later recovered the vehicle.
11:46 PM Officer Lara was dispatched to Newpark Mall Road for a driver asleep at the wheel. A 45-year-old female was arrested for driving under the influence and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2024:
1:05 AM Officer Kapu responded to an aggravated assault reported near Cherry St & Clark Ave. A 31-year-old male was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
10:04 AM Officer Frentescu investigated a vehicle burglary on Newpark Mall Road. A bag containing various specialized electronics was taken.
12:53 PM Officers investigated multiple vehicle and license plate thefts reported near Newpark Mall Road.
2:42 PM Officer Leath investigated a mail theft that occurred near Cedar Blvd & Robertson Ave.
4:34 PM CSO Mora investigated a vehicle burglary. Reported loss included personal items, a wallet, and electronics.
7:16 PM CSO Vuong investigated a license plate theft that occurred near Newark Blvd & Thornton Ave.
11:31 PM Officer Stevenson initiated a traffic stop near Thornton Ave & Elm St. A 61-year-old male was arrested for driving under the influence and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
11:52 PM CSO Mora investigated a vehicle theft reported near Sandalwood St & Lafayette Ave.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2024:
1:40 AM Officer Williams responded to a report of brandishing near Burning Tree Dr & Arrowhead Pl. A 47-year-old female and 39-year-old female were both arrested for displaying weapons and were booked into Santa Rita Jail.
12:50 PM Officer Orozco investigated a license plate theft near Willow St & Cedar Blvd.
7:13 PM Officer Kapu responded to the report of an unwanted guest on Newpark Mall Road. A 32-year-old male was arrested for trespassing, and public intoxication. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
