INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery
LOCATION: Beyond Gas Station, 14992 Dale Evans Parkway, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Davion Eugene Cooley, 36-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, deputies were dispatched to a report of a shoplifting at Beyond Gas Station located on Dale Evans Parkway in the Town of Apple Valley.
Deputy G. Gregory arrived on scene at approximately 1:56 pm and contacted employees at the store. Store employees reported Davion Cooley entered the store, selected food items, and attempted to leave the store without paying. Employees contacted Cooley, who then pulled a silver pistol and pointed it at the employee. Deputy Gregory located Cooley and found the silver pistol to be a lighter in the shape of a pistol.
Cooley was arrested and booked into High Desert Detention Center on a charge of robbery. On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Victorville District Attorney’s office filed misdemeanor charges against Cooley for PC 417.4 – Brandishing a Replica Firearm and PC 459.5 – Shoplifting.
