Suspect Drives Through Residential Yards During Police Pursuit in Victorville

INCIDENT: V.C 2800.2(A)- Felony Reckless Evading, H&S 11378- Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole
LOCATION: Seventh Street/Tracy Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Franklin Alexander Shearer, 60-year-old Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 2, 2024, at approximately 12:15 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Seventh Street and Tracy Street, on a motorcycle with no license plate.
The motorcycle failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Franklin Shearer, rode into the Desert Breeze Mobile Home Park. Shearer drove at a high rate of speed and drove through multiple yards to evade deputies. The motorcycle became stuck, and Shearer was detained without incident. Shearer was found to be on parole, and in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Franklin Alexander Shearer was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for V.C 2800.2(A)- Felony Reckless Evading, H&S 11378- Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, and P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole.
