One person died in fatal crash at I40/Bell Monday evening.

DETAILS: On November 4th, 2024, at approximately 5:54 pm, Officers were dispatched to a major crash involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle at IH40 south frontage road and Bell. Upon their arrival, they found a black 2009 black Kawasaki sport motorcycle had been south bound on Bell St, crossing the south frontage road of Interstate 40. A white 2003 Dodge Ram pickup was eastbound on Interstate 40 south frontage road crossing Bell St. The front distributed of the pickup struck the motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, Landon McGinnis male, age 19 died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Mr. McGinnis next of kin was notified. The driver of the truck was ID male, age 37, was not injured in the crash. Potter County Judge Robert Taylor responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
