Wilmington Police arrest man in connection with September 24 shooting incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a September 24 shooting incident.
On September 24 at approximately 6:18 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of East 24th and Carter Streets in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Police located a 16-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The case was assigned to Detective Douglas Rivell of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Rivell identified 30-year-old Rasean Henry as a suspect.
Henry, who was being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on an unrelated matter, has been charged with the following offenses in connection with this shooting incident:
- Attempted Murder (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
- Criminal Mischief
