National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Simi Valley through Friday, November 8, 2024. Strong sustained winds and gusts above 65 mph are expected, causing downed power lines and tree limbs, and increasing the risk of wildfires.

Simi Valley Police Department advises following these tips and using these resources.
Report smoke to 9-1-1 and avoid activities that could start a fire, like BBQs, mowing, and campfires.
Report fallen trees by calling (805) 583-6400.
For downed power lines, stay away and call 911 immediately.
